SOLD Mid-Century Modern Chrome Floor Lamp Chiara by Mario Bellini

Italy 1960s.

This unique floor lamp – named Chiara – was designed by the famous Italian Designer Mario Bellini and has been produced by the Manufacturer Flos in 1970. The Chiara lamp has the shape of a column with a gently curved hood. The floor lamp is made of one piece of stainless sheet. The outer surface is polished, the inner side of the lamp is enamelled white. The light source comes from the base of the lamp and radiates upwards. This supports a warm and luminous distribution of light. This modell is probably from the 90s.

Mario Bellini is one of the most famous Italian Designer. He pursued a career as an architect as well as an product and furniture designer during the Italian economic boom of the late 20th century. Mario Bellini has received several accolades like 8 (!) Compasso d’Oro and the Gold Metal for Lifetime Achievement by the Triennale di Milano.
