Steel Marble Floor Lamp by Angelo Brotto

Italy, 1950s

Amazing sculptural mid-century modern floor lamp by the Italian designer Angelo Brotto from the 50s. This floor lamp consists of black steel with brass elements, a white lamp shade with lovely geometric coloured patterns and a white grey marble base. The pattern of the shade are in the typical mid-century modern colours black, red, blue and yellow. The lamp has three E27 sockets. Angelo Brotto (1914-2002), graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice in 1941. The same year, he received a major order from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to make frescoes in Montenegro. He participates in numerous Biennales and his creations are quickly celebrated by many exhibitions.
